The main purpose of the processing of your personal data is to manage the relationship with the interested parties and incorporate them into the FCRI database in order to provide them with information on events and activities that we believe may be of interest, both by email and by conventional mail. The retention of data in our database is indefinite as long as you do not cancel it.
Consent is the legal basis that allows the processing of users’ personal data.
Occasionally, in order to make informational submissions about our activities, we may use email sending platforms (such as MailChimp or MailRelay). These platforms, which guarantee confidentiality during processing, require the prior incorporation of the data necessary to carry out the e-mailing and, once completed, the data are deleted. There is no provision for the transfer or communication of your data to other entities (except in the above cases, if applicable) or the international transfer of data.
Users whose data are processed may exercise their rights of access, rectification, opposition and/or cancellation of their data free of charge, in accordance with current legislation. These rights may be exercised by the user or, where applicable, by the person representing him/her, by means of a written and signed application, addressed to the following address: Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, Passeig Lluís Companys, 23, 08010 Barcelona. The application must contain the following data: name and surname of the user, address for notification purposes, photocopy of the National Identity Document or passport, put the reference “LOPD FCRI” and specific content of the right exercised. You can also exercise your rights by requesting it by e-mail to lopd@fundaciorecerca.cat, digitally signed or accompanied by a scanned copy of an official document that identifies you, stating the right exercised.
If you consider that, for a well-founded reason, we have violated any of your rights, we inform you that you have the right and can contact the Control Authorities in order to claim it, in this case, the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
Users guarantee that they are of legal age and that the information provided is accurate and truthful. They will be solely responsible for the veracity and correctness of the data included, and the FCRI will be relieved of any liability in this regard.
SECURITY MEASURES
FCRI informs the user that it has adopted the necessary technical and organisational measures to guarantee the security of the personal data and to prevent its alteration, loss, treatment or unauthorised access, insofar as the state of the technology, the nature of the stored data and the risks to which they are exposed permits, whether arising from human action or from the physical or natural environment. All this is in compliance with the provisions of article 9 of the Organic Law on Protection of Personal Data and the corresponding developmental regulations. Moreover, FCRI guarantees that it will meet its professional obligations to preserve and protect user privacy and personal data.
COOKIES POLICY
Cookies are small text files that collect small amounts of information and are downloaded to the browser when viewing a website. These files are usually classified as session cookies or as persistent cookies. The former disappear from the device when the browser is closed and the persistent ones remain in the equipment until the user eliminates them or they expire.
